Our tittle for our magazine will be Rap Caviar. We chose this tittle because it established notoriety and gave our magazine an identity of high quality hip-hop/ rap content.It establishes class and sophistication within our contents. Our font tittle chosen for our tittle is used too reflect the our identity within the market of high quality rap content. It is an old style font that reflects the writing of early English settlement in America. It is a font style that is bold and recognizable with the reader and can be linked to the foundation of this nation. This is the message that we are trying to push that hip-hop/rap is apart of our American identity and foundation. Our fonts for the headings is still bold to establish importance to the reader but is in a much smaller size than the tittle and is located on the outer two thirds as to be seen as a preview for the contents in side. It is bold enough to stand out but not too big to infringe on the more important contents of the cover page such as the cover photo or tittle. Our slogan at the bottom of the cover will be an identity that we conform to, "indulge in excellence." This slogan is stated in the same font as our tittle to establish recognition and a brand slogan that is identifiable with the brand we wish to create. All the fonts and sizes used are used in a way to help influence and contribute to our image of high quality rap/ hip-hop culture content.

Magazine Genre Research- The Fader
The Fader magazine is an established music industry magazine that was founded in 1999 by Rob Stone and Jon Cohen. It has a classic cover which includes a large cover photo of an up-incoming or established artist (usually hip-hop/rap). The cover will always include their signature "Fader" tittle in the left hand corner with the "F" being blocked in red while the rest of the lettering in white. The font stands out and is bold and large. the cover also always feature the name of the artist in the cover photo. Colors vary but the iconic block lettered "F" is consistent throughout all issues. Articles within the magazines issues cover music industry topics, style, and culture. These articles appear on about half of the pages in the magazine. Advertisements are used on the other remaining half of pages in each issue and usually market products that are suited towards the target demographic of younger generation, music industry interested, consumers. photos throughout articles, table of contents, and covers are in most cases artists or people within the industry that are being covered in the issue. The Fader Magazine, published quarterly, has a circulation of over 565,000. The Fader has also been recognized for its excellence and is an award-winning magazine earning titles of Best Urban-Lifestyle Magazine in 2002 from the New York Press to best long-form film from Clio Music in 2018 along with numerous other awards.

Magazine Genre Research- Vibe Magazine
Vibe Magazine has an iconic cover layout for hip-hop magazines. Its cover is unique to each issue and truly represents the artist depicted in the cover photo. The cover photo is always of an artist or music group and is unique and creative in design and high in quality. The tittle "VIBE" is in very bold font and catchers the readers eyes right away as it is always at the top of the cover. The off-centered "V" is a signature of theirs and helps then distinguish brad recognition. Articles included within the magazine encompass hip-hop/rap culture with a wide array of articles ranging from album releases to controversy within the industry. They have opinion columns, reviews, and even pages dedicated to high-end designer clothing. advertisements are scattered throughout appearing in between articles and are usually advertising products that are suited towards Vibe magazines demographic of young, hip-hop culture influenced teenagers. The article photos are high quality shoots of the artists represented within the articles. They are big and bold and help to influence design and mood of the articles. At the end of its peak in 2008 Vibe magazine reported a circulation of 818,000 but eventually fell due to falling advertising. Vibe Magazine was awarded the The National Magazine Award for general excellence in 2002.

Billboard is a an internationally recognized music industry magazine that provides us with listings of the top hit songs out and information on artists and the music industry as well. The Billboard cover is iconic in its bold font title that is always vertically placed on the left hand side of the cover. Billboards color schemes vary depending on the artist and colors in the cover photo. They are usually more uplifting, light colors that are used to represent the mood established in the cover photo. Throughout the magazine the colors and textures represented are close in relation to the article topic or picture within the article emitting the same mood that is presented in the article. Articles included opinion, reviews, events, and style that all encompass music or the music industry as a whole. They are best known for their music charts the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, which track the most popular songs and albums out currently. Articles appear on a little over half the pages in the magazine itself. Advertisements included in the magazines vary but usually included items or business that are in partnership with Billboard and most likely relate to the tastes of the magazines demographics. Billboard magazine cover, table of contents, and articles photos are usually of mainstream artists in very high end photo shoots. Billboard has a print circulation of 17,000 and an online readership of 1.2 million monthly views. Billboard magazine has received an award from GLAAD Media for being recognized for Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage.

Magazine Genre Research- The Source
The Source's magazine cover is that of iconic. "Source" is in a big bold font always adjacent to the smaller, yet still noticeable, "The" that is either sitting on the bottom swoop of the "S" or is vertically typed next to the large "S". The title is always eye catching grabbing your attention shortly after the cover photo of a famous hip-hop/ rap artist that is always found on the cover. In most cases the cover photo is of the main artist that will be represented in that particular issue. It is usually a main article on the artist or on a particular incident or topic surrounding the artist. The colors featured on this magazine will vary but for the most part stick the reds and whites to emphases the "hard" rapper feeling. the cover includes the main title with smaller article tittles placed along the sides normally in smaller font and different color. Articles included within the magazine include topics of hip-hop community interest, inside looks on the minds behinds albums, and hip-hop/ rap culture in general. Advertisements within the magazine appear often and relate to the audience reading them and are very possible items of purchase for readers to want to buy. Advertisements appear before and after big articles and are scattered throughout but don't disrupt to much on the readers content. Photos within the magazine are usually stand a lone photos that are big and flashy with style. They show usually the rapper standing with a "mean mug" type face or of them flexing their fanciest outfit in their wardrobe. The Source's circulation number is at 175 thousand magazines. The Source magazine did have a standing award show for a while but has not been nominated or won any awards itself.
Magazine Genre Research- XXL
The XXL cover is very recognizable with its very bold and big white lettering in its signature red box. In a smaller font you can see what annual issue it is or that year also in white. the biggest portion of the cover is covered by a shot of all those elected into their freshman class list. They are the focal point of the issue therefore they are the focal point of the cover. On the left hand side there is names of specific articles within the issue in a smaller font size and different color to differentiate importance of the information. Articles included within their magazine's deal with topics happening within the hip-hop/rap industry. It has up and coming rapper profile type articles as well as articles about culture and even beefs included within. Within the magazine you'll notice a lot of pictures of the artist presented in the article usually of them posing or "flexing". Advertisements included inside can vary but are usually closely related to there targeted audience which is usually hip-hop or younger generation oriented. the distribution number for the XXL magazine is 136,532. The XXL magazine hasn't been nominated nor has received any awards for their hip-hop magazine.
